Aga has announced a ground-breaking partnership that will mean consumers looking to purchase a refurbished Aga will – for the very first time – be able to do so with the utmost confidence.
The makers of the world’s most famous cooker brand have joined forces with Twyford cookers, one of the UK’s most respected refurbishers, to offer an Aga-backed scheme for renovated Agas. The unique partnership is built around the formation of a new company called Aga Twyford, which will become the only authorised vendor of refurbished and renovated Agas. The move means the customer will be assured of a top-class product and the highest levels of customer care.
Any refurbished Aga purchased Aga Twyford will be fully tested and, wherever possible, any replacement parts will be official Aga spares. The partnership also adds yet further to Aga’s green credentials, with Twyford agreeing to return any cookers which cannot be renovated. These will be melted down to make the next generation of Agas, 70% of which come from reclaimed iron.
Simon Page, Marketing Director of Aga, said the new partnership would mean peace of mind for those looking to buy a refurbished Aga. “As part of this agreement,” he said, “we will supply Aga Twyford with old cookers from our highly successful trade-in promotions and - providing they can be economically refurbished – Aga Twyford will lovingly restore them to their former glory.
“Buying through Aga Twyford will mean buying from the only authorised refurbisher of Agas. Customer will know the product will perform as expected. They will also have peace of mind, knowing that – in the unlikely event of something going wrong – they will have the support of Aga Twyford’s network of Aga-trained engineers.”
Twyfords, based in Hereford, is run by Ian Norman said ‘we have an excellent working relationship with Aga and this agreement confirms our position as the leading company in the refurbishment market.’
So, now consumers opting to have a refurbished Aga can buy from an accredited supplier, safe in the knowledge that all products will meet Aga’s stringent safety and performance criteria. The agreement between Aga and Twyford provides assurance that reconditioned or refurbished models will live up to the brand promise.
