It is not unique for stadium/sports arena projects to take two or more years from concept to fruition, but the reward is certainly worth the effort as Marvel experienced with a recent large order for Refrigerated Drawers for the new Newark Devils Arena.
In February 2005 Newark, NJ city officials unveiled the model of the Newark Devils Arena designed by HOK Sports, a company that Marvel has worked with on other sports facility projects. In October 2005 construction began and in June 2006 Marvel sent samples to the designers for the mock suites. On 1 June, 2007 Marvel received the order for 150 Refrigerated Drawer units for this new facility.
Senior VP of Sales for Marvel comments: ‘We are delighted to have been awarded this order to supply the Newark Arena with Marvel’s refrigerated drawer units. We believe the units are perfectly suited to the requirements of the arena’s hospitality suites.”
