Perth Aga Shop hosts local food producers 'Open Day'

Delicious Scottish produce was the talk of the town with the Aga Shop Perth hosting a local food producers ‘Open Day’ on the 7th of June. The variety of fresh ingredients used for the dishes prepared by demonstrator Gill Fish, proved that local food products are best!

Over 150 people visited the store, where they were not disappointed by the exceptional service that the staff offered them, and the array of taste-bud tingling delights that Gill constantly had on hand. The freshly baked cakes proved to be the winners of the day, with favourites such as lemon drizzle cake, being eaten as soon as it came out if the Aga!

The success of this event could not have been possible without the help of some fantastic local food suppliers. Scottish favourites such as oat cakes, salmon, lamb and beef, were supplied by local producers Gloagburn Farm Shop, Charles Mair Deli and DG Lindsay Butchers. Scarletts Honey supplied fine, golden honey, while George Campbell Fishmongers supplied delicious smoked mackerel –that formed the basis for a gorgeous smoked mackerel pate.
