Aga gets cooking in Knightsbridge

The Aga Shop Knightsbridge held two fantastic cookery classes on the 10th of June, which aimed to satisfy the cooking needs of new and existing Aga owners alike. Things kicked off with an Introductory Aga Cooker Class, where the essential tricks and tips of cooking on an Aga where shown. Demonstrator James McIntosh, clearly illustrated what makes Aga cooking so unique, by effortlessly making home-made bread, a full English breakfast, succulent roast lamb, Mediterranean quiche, a light, tasty sponge cake and much more – all within an hour and a half! Customers were delighted that such delicious results could be achieved with minimal fuss.

After a quick break, the showroom was ready to get things underway for the next class, titled ‘Alfresco Dinning’. Here, the focus was purely food – using seasonal treats to create fragrant, flavoursome dishes.

Guests were treated to a few glasses of refreshing rosé and salmon blinis during the course of the class, and got to sample the delectable dishes once the evening concluded. The menu included a fragrant dish of harissa spiced vegetables; easy, quick beef Wellington; a very different, yet utterly mouth-watering recipe for strawberry and mint wantons; chilled berry soup (served in a beautiful ice bowl); salmon and watercress roulade and sweet, delicious seared scallops served with zingy watercress vinaigrette. Scrumptious!
