Aga Foodservice equips new Wholefoods flagship store in London

7th June 2007

Whole Foods Market, the world’s leading natural and organic foods supermarket, has opened its flagship store in Central London - the first Whole Foods Market to be opened in Europe.  Spread across three floors, the store promises to offer a fresh, innovative shopping experience that continues its long-standing commitment to quality standards and sustainability.

In keeping with its focus on efficiency and quality, the store features key pieces of equipment from Aga Foodservice from its bakery, prime cooking and refrigeration companies – Bongard, Eloma, Falcon, Mono, Pavailler and Williams.

Bakery equipment from Bongard, Pavailler and Mono, including a 5 level deck oven, Fermentolavain and Hydraulic Divider, dominate the in-store bakery and allow Wholefoods to produce artisan style breads, cakes and pastries for its discerning customers.

Meanwhile, on the first floor ‘Upstairs Market’ Falcon, Eloma and Williams provide the equipment for the many eateries available ranging from Tapas to Sushi and Dim Sum.  The Infinity Fryer, Falcon Chargrills, Eloma Combis and Williams Blast Chillers, to name but a few, help Wholefoods ensure their customers enjoy their shopping and dining experience.

Kenny Maguire, Sales Director for Aga Foodservice and Aga Bakery, comments: “The opening of the Wholefoods store in Kensington High Street is the dawn of a new retailing concept in Europe.  At Aga we have worked closely with Whole Foods to ensure the correct specifications are met with products coming from both Aga Foodservice and Aga Bakery we have been able to provide a single supply source for Whole Foods.”
